TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
The TOEIC test is an English language proficiency test for people whose native language is not English. It measures the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment. The scores indicate how well people can communicate in English with others in business, commerce and industry.
IPC Tertiary Institute is recognised as a Public TOEIC Test Centre. This means that not only internal students but also external candidates can take the TOEIC test at our campus.

How to apply
If you would like to apply to sit a TOEIC Test please complete the form below, then you can either scan and email the form to toeic@ipc.ac.nz or post the form to the following address; TOEIC, International Pacific College Private Bag 11021, Palmerston North 4442.
You will receive confirmation by way of email or post from IPC once they have received your application to sit the test. Included in the information to be sent to you, will be, the Examinee’s handbook, the time you need to arrive at the test, details of where on Campus the test will be held, and a Campus Map, which also includes a map of how to get to IPC.
Buses leave from the Bus Depot in Main Street, Palmerston North to IPC, but you will need to check the timetable to ensure that you arrive in plenty of time.

The cost for the Public to sit the test is $230.00, which includes a TOEIC Score Report, OR $269.00 which includes a Certificate as well as the TOEIC Score Report. Payment details are included on the Application form. A photo must be supplied for either option. All cheques must be made out to International Pacific College. |

TOEIC Format
The test consists of 200 questions divided into two sections:
• Listening: You will be asked to answer questions based on a variety of statements, questions, short conversations and short talks. Total time: approx 45 minutes.
• Reading: You will read a variety of materials and respond to 100 questions. Total time: 75 minutes.
Results
Results are normally received within two weeks of sitting the test and will be mailed to candidates at their home addresses.

Test Dates
TOEIC will be administered on the dates stated below.
* The cost for each TOEIC test for IPC students is $185.00, for Institutional Score Report (without photo) or $230.00 for an Official Score Report and Certificate (photo must be supplied)
* T he cost for the Public to sit the test is $230.00 (includes an official TOEIC Score Report) (Photo must be supplied) OR NZ$269.00* (includes Official Score Report and Certificate (Photo must be supplied)
All Foundation students are required to take the test 3 times this academic year. All Diploma/Degree students enrolled in English Skills papers are required to take the test at least once in the academic year (April – March).
